Kwasi Kwarteng has published a three-point to reinject life back into UK economy after humiliating U-turn on the 45p tax rate announced in his mini-budget just 10 days ago. Prime Minister Liz Truss and her Chancellor have abandoned a plan to abolish the top rate of income tax for the highest earners. Mr Kwarteng admitted the desire to axe the 45 percent rate on earnings over £150,000 in a move to be paid for by borrowing had become a “distraction” following a furious backlash. But he has said the move will “allow us to focus on delivering the major parts of our growth package”, and has published a three-point plan alongside this.
