Speaking to GB News, the MP for Stroud showered Mr Johnson in praise in a passionate defence of his ability to lead the country and be trusted in his role. Her comments come as Boris Johnson marks two years as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, having been appointed on July 24 2019 following the resignation of former Prime Minister Theresa May. But allegations made by former aide Dominic Cummings in an interview with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg on Tuesday evening dashed the character of the Prime Minister with a series of claims against Mr Johnson’s ability to lead and the support he has inside of Downing Street.
The Stroud MP was asked by host Rosie Wright to rate Boris Johnson out of ten.
The Conservative MP replied: “I would go ten out of ten!
“Mainly because I want lots of things and I want lots of things to happen.
“I have got complete confidence in this country and in this leadership for us to get ourselves out of the covid pandemic and start to recover.”

She went on to explain why she gave full marks to Boris and believes the country can pull through the pandemic.
Ms Baillie said: “As part of having complete faith in the country it is complete faith in the leadership to make that happen.
“Boris has my backing.
“I really want to see us all succeed.”

Ms Baillie went on to express her confidence in the country going forward.
She said: “I am genuinely looking forward to getting with a lot of the tricky things which we know are outstanding.”
The MP’s comments come as Boris Johnson faces a barrage of scrutiny for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic both on the ground and at N.10.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister’s former aide Dominic Cummings dealt a series of scathing attacks on Boris’ character and ability to be the leader of the country in an exclisive interview with the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg.
During almost an hour-long assault, Mr Cummings hammered Mr Johnson for his personal conduct as well as his ability to organise a response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Cummings said: “He (the Prime Minister) doesn’t have a plan, he doesn’t know how to be Prime Minister and we only got him in there because we had to solve a certain problem not because he was the right person to be running the country.”
He hammered: “The situation we found ourselves in is that, within days… the Prime Minister’s girlfriend is trying to get rid of us and appoint complete clowns to certain key jobs.”
A Downing Street spokesperson declined to comment in detail on Mr Cummings’ allegations against Mrs Johnson, they said: “Political appointments are entirely made by the Prime Minister.”
