A girl was shot in Denver on Wednesday and pronounced dead the next day. City police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
The shooting happened in the 4600 block of Peoria Street in the Montbello neighborhood, and the victim was taken to a hospital, the Denver Police Department said in a 6:44 p.m. Wednesday tweet.
On Thursday police announced that the “juvenile female victim” has died, and a homicide investigation is underway.
