Apocalyptic scenes followed severe flooding in parts of the UK with abandoned cars underwater.
Roads have been undrivable in parts of Lancashire with cars left stranded by the rising water.
The news comes following Met Office warnings of thunder and lightning across parts of the country.

Heavy rain spells were experienced across multiple parts of the country, with images sent toLancashire Liveshowing Ronaldsway in Preston underwater.
Images showed people forced to stand on walls as cars braved the depths – a risk that did not pay off for all.
On Wigan Road in Euxton deep standing water was seen with local councils mobilising to get out and unblock the drains, with promises of extra resources going forward being made by Lancashire County Council.
A spokesperson said on Saturday evening: "We're currently dealing with a flooding incident along the A49 Wigan Road in Euxton, Chorley, following today's thunderstorms.
“The road is closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area. A gully wagon is on the scene & we hope to open the road up later this evening."
Weather warnings remained in place today (Sunday, July 9) at the time of writing.
The Met Office wrote in a tweet: “Yellow weather warning for thunderstorms Sunday 1000 – 2100."
Sunny spells have also punctuated the weekend in parts of the country, with the Met Office calling it a “split” weekend.
