Chaffee County sheriff release’s Suzanne Morphew’s home to the family

The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office released Suzanne Morphew’s residence back to the family after seizing it with a search warrant to investigate her May 10 disappearance.

Since Morphew’s disappearance, the sheriff’s office has received more than 400 calls to its tip line that they are working to follow up on, according to a sheriff’s office news release. The 49-year-old was reported missing after leaving for a bicycle ride, authorities have said.

Chaffee County deputies, along with agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Colorado Bureau of Investigation, recently spent three days searching a residence in east Salida based on leads they received. However, “they were unable to make any connection,” Chaffee County Sheriff John Spezze said after the search wrapped on Sunday.

Officials said they are continuing the missing person investigation. Anyone with information can call and report it to the tip line 719-312-7530.
