Denver breaks more than 100-year-old weather records with frigid temperatures The Denver Post

Many dubbed this past Tuesday as “Twosday” due to the unique date of 2/22/22. The day made Denver weather history as the coldest high temperature the city has ever had on Feb. 22, beating out a 109-year-old record.

Denver only warmed to a frigid 8 degrees on Tuesday, breaking the previous record of 13 degrees set in 1913.

Wednesday morning also broke a record, this one is even older at 123 years standing. It was for the lowest temperature ever recorded on Feb. 23 in Denver. Readings show the morning low at minus 7, beating the previous record of 4 degrees below zero, set in 1899.

Nonetheless, cold temperatures will continue for the rest of the week.
