Unseasonably warm weather, about 10 to 15 degrees above norms, is expected in Denver through the weekend with high temperatures climbing into the 90s along with a daily dose of isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
The chance for showers and storms are slim in the city, with a 20% chance on Wednesday and Friday, and a 10% chance on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The high temperature in Denver will hit about 91 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, before turning it up a notch to 94 degrees on Friday. Overnight low temperatures in the city will dip into the 60s through Friday.
Storms will be more likely, and likely more intense, on the Eastern Plains. An increase in fire danger is expected in northeastern Colorado.
