Summer weather is upon us and this weekend it will again be sunny and hot.
Friday’s high temperature in Denver could hit 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Winds could gust up to 18 mph.
Elevated fire danger is a concern on Friday and it will continue through the weekend especially over higher terrain, the weather service said.
On Saturday Denver will have a slight cool down with a high temperature of 94 degrees, the weather service said. Skies will be sunny and the wind will gust to about 20 mph.
Sunday in the city there’s a 20% chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. It will be mostly sunny and the high temp should top out at 99 degrees.
There’s a slight chance for Sunday thunderstorms mainly over the Eastern Plains.
