Elon Musk mocks Andrew Tates arrest with pizza at home joke

Elon Musk has rattled the cage of Andrew Tate following the controversial former kickboxer's arrest with a joke about making pizza at home.

The SpaceX and Twitter CEO hopped onto the social media platform and appeared to poke fun at the 36-year-old influencer, who was recently arrested by Romanian authorities.

Tate, who has garnered controversy in the past for rape tweets, Big Brother appearances and podcast bombshells, had his compound raided by Romanian police last week.

His location however was not known until Tate had responded to climate activist Greta Thunberg, with the 19-year-old environmentalist calling out Tate for his gas-guzzling car collection.

In response to her mockeries, Tate posted a video of himself moaning and puffing on a cigar next to a pizza box, which allegedly led Romanian authorities to believe the 36-year-old was still in the country.

The controversial influencer has since been detained by Romanian officials following a raid on his compound, situated a short distance away from Budapest's Aurel Vlaicu airport.

Following his arrest, dozens have poked fun at the controversial figure, including Thunberg and none other than Twitter owner himself, Elon Musk.

Taking to Twitter following the news of Tate's arrest, Musk wrote: "Sometimes it's just better to make pizza at home."

Musk, who garnered nearly half a million likes for his mockery of Tate, followed suit to that of Thunberg, who had previously poked fun at Tate following his arrest.

The climate activist wrote: "This is what happens when you don't recycle your pizza boxes."

For her tweet, Thunberg received 3.4million likes and nearly half a million retweets, with Twitter users clearly impressed by the quick-witted response to the brief feud the climate activist had with Tate.

It comes as Tate's time in custody will see him placed in a "hellhole" prison where "guards abuse prisoners", Daily Star reported.
