Fergie ‘can’t believe disrespect to Queen’ by Harry and Meghan, claims insider

Sarah Ferguson is alleged to be "furious" over Meghan Markle's supposed lack of respect to the Queen as the war of words with the Royal Family continues.

Prince Andrew's ex-wife has reportedly pledged her allegiance to the Queen and will fight to protect the monarchy from the bombshell claims made by the Duchess of Sussex about The Firm.

Meghan, 39, and her husband Prince Harry, who quit royal duties and moved to the US last year, made a string of sensational attacks on his relatives during their explosive TV interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey in March.

And Harry, 36, has continued to criticise his family in his latest docuseries on mental health.

Now Fergie, 61, is understood to have waded in on the rift, allegedly making a personal vow to Her Majesty to hit back at the couple.

"Fergie can’t believe the disrespect that is being shown to the Queen," a royal insider claimed.

During the Sussexes' tell-all with Oprah, Meghan accused the royals of "perpetuating falsehoods" about the couple and claimed one family member was "concerned" about the skin colour of her – then-unborn – son Archie.

Harry, meanwhile, recently revealed his family showed "total neglect" for his mental wellbeing and he felt "trapped" by the monarchy in his new series The Me You Can't See.

The Duchess of York is said to be still furious with the Sussexes for seemingly trying to upstage her daughter Princess Eugenie in October 2018 by announcing Meghan's first pregnancy with son Archie on Eugenie's wedding day.

She had previously had a strained relationship herself with her former mother-in-law, but they are said to have rekindled her relationship following the death of the Duke of Edinburgh in April.

"Andrew has always been the Queen’s favourite son. Despite his fall from grace, he is the one supporting her privately," royal commentator Phil Dampier said.

"He and Fergie are frequent visitors to Windsor Castle and Sarah often walks her dogs with the Queen."

Phil added: "With Prince Philip’s passing, she is likely to see a lot more of [Fergie] with Andrew."

Before Harry's AppleTV+ show premiered two weeks ago, it emerged he allegedly misled the Queen in 2018 into believing it was about other people's mental health.

Her Majesty is understood to have been "gobsmacked" by Harry's allegations and had "no idea" it would focus on his grievances with his family in the first episode.
