Football recruiting: Two 4-star prospects commit to CU Buffs. The Denver Post

Deion Sanders is landing some star power for the Colorado Buffaloes’ future.

On Saturday, Sanders and the Buffs got a verbal commitment from four-star defensive lineman Brandon Davis-Swain, from West Bloomfield, Mich. On Sunday, four-star receiver Zycarl Lewis from Tampa, Fla., announced his commitment to the Buffs. Both are class of 2024 prospects.

Davis-Swain visited CU this weekend, making his third visit to the school this year. According to 247Sports.com, Davis-Swain has 24 scholarship offers, including from Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee and USC.

A 6-foot-4, 250-pounder, Davis-Swain was first-team all-state last year as a junior, posting 12 sacks and 33 quarterback hurries. Davis-Swain is rated by 247Sports.com as the No. 6 recruit from Michigan and the No. 29 defensive line recruit in the country for the 2024 class.

Lewis has a four-star rating in the 247Sports composite rankings and he’s listed a top-60 receiver in the country.

The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Lewis caught 28 passes for 485 yards and four touchdowns as a junior at Carrollwood Day (Fla.) High School last season. As a sophomore, he caught 40 passes for 638 yards and five touchdowns. He has also played running back.

Lewis has 24 scholarship offers, including form Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee and Utah.

CU has seven commits for the 2024 class, with four of them being four-star prospects.
