An adorable video shows a seal playing hide-and-seek with a German shepherddog it met at the beach in Cornwall.
In the sweet clip, recorded by Josh Dodsworth at Sandy Cove near Newlyn, Bailey the 15-month-old pedigree Alsatian is paddling in the sea when the seal appears, Cornwall Live reports.
Looking curious, the cheeky seal keeps bobbing its head out of the water and staring at Bailey.
In turn, Bailey starts swimming towards the animal, only for it to dart away and pop up behind him again, with the funny game going on like this for more than a minute.
Coral Dodsworth, the dog’s owner and Josh's mum, told Cornwall Live: "Bailey is a real water baby.
"He is very friendly and playful and loves chasing after his ball in the sea.
"Seals have popped up before to have a look at Bailey when he has been swimming but he hasn't noticed them.
"But this seal was brave and came really close and really seemed like he was playing with Bailey."
Retired German shepherd police dog 'cries' after being reunited with handler
Coral, who wasn't there at the time, said it was a treat to be able to watch the video her son had taken because she wasn't able to get out to the beach herself due to an injury.
She explained: "The seal hung around for a little bit watching Bailey run around on the cove then disappeared.
"I love seeing seals, the novelty never goes away.
"I have a broken ankle at the moment so it was nice for me to see the video.
"Bailey has the most lovely temperament and is extremely curious."
This comes after a retired German shepherd police dog appears to "cry" after being reunited with her former handler.
Wangwang had worked as a sniffer dog at an airport and clearly formed a close bond with her trainer.
