Glam Instagram star Mercedes Morr dies at 33 as rapper pal leads tributes

Emotional tributes have poured in for Instagram model Mercedes Morr who has reportedly died aged 33.

The social media star's death was seemingly confirmed by Canadian rapper and pal Tory Lanez, whose announcement has been followed by heartbroken messages.

Lanez shared on his Instagram story: "Rest in peace Queen."

Morr built a massive following of 2.6million fans on Instagram with pulse-racing snaps wearing swimwear and lingerie.

The model's last photo uploaded to her Instagram grid was as recent as August 17.

"Mercedez I'm so sorry, you did not deserve this at all. You had your whole life ahead of you", one pal wrote in tribute.

Morr's cause of death remains unknown. Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are among her famous followers, the Mirror reports.

An apparent relative posted a statement on Instagram about Mercedes' death.

"Thank you for all the prayers and calls in regards to Mercedes. Her parents are asking that you respect the family," read the statement shared by a user @htownciara.

"We know everyone is concerned. We will update everyone when all the information is confirmed. Thank you."

Hours after sharing the message, the Instagram user posted a blank screen to her Instagram Story and another post saying 'numb' followed by a broken heart emoji.

The young woman then shared a snap of her and Mercedes together, writing : "How you just going break my heart like that."

"Mercedez I'm so sorry, you did not deserve this at all," one person shared. "You had your whole life ahead of you."

"This one hurts," added another, while others said, "I can't believe it."

Another friend wrote: "I’m so sorry baby, you are one of the most sweetest people I’ve ever met and it’s been over 10 years we’ve known one another. You will forever be missed. Rest in perfect peace love."

Morr often used her giant platform to model clothes online for global fashion brand FashionNova.
