Prince Harry and Meghan Markle baffled Netflix filmmakers after they made claims which appeared to "contradict" each other, a source at the streaming service has claimed.

The Sussexes are said to have "confused" producers while they were filming their TV show which is set to go live in December.

The docu-series is expected to give fans a glimpse into their extravagant lives following their move to the US.

“A lot in the show contradicted what Harry has written, so that was an issue,” the senior Netflix source claimed.

“Then Harry and Meghan made significant requests [to filmmakers] to walk back content they themselves have provided, for their own project."

It has been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to push back the show until next year so they could keep editing it.

But bosses at Netflix reportedly stuck to their guns and said it should be released after the fifth season of “The Crown”, which launches in November.

Harry and Meghan allegedly filmed scenes where they discussed the Royal family, including senior members.

However, they are reportedly wanting to take some of the clips out.

Royal biographer Tom Bower recently compared their numerous deals to them being "stuck with the devil."

He claimed that they desperately need money which could be retrieved from deals such as Netflix and Harry's memoir, which is due to be published by Penguin Random House, reports Daily Mail.

Bower said: "They need the money and they need it now more than ever because they've got no other source of income. So I think they're just stuck with the devil now.

"They're tied to Netflix, they're tied to their book. And all the criticism they're going to take means nothing because that's the only way they can earn their money."

He told GB News: "I don't see how the Sussexes can give up both the Netflix and book deal."
