The haunting final images of a 21-year-old Brazillian model she shared with her mother shortly before she vanished on a riverboat trip have emerged.
Yasmin Cavalerio de Macedo's body was found floating in the Maguari River near the city of Belem in the Brazilian state of Para yesterday afternoon (December 13), one day after she went missing.
In the afternoon, the victim shared a range of photos and videos that she took during the boat trip, including the photos she shared with her mum.
The model spoke with her mother on the phone at around 10pm and was allegedly reported missing just an hour later.
The terrified mother travelled to the area to assist in the search as firefighters found the tragic woman's body the following day.
"All the appropriate procedures are being carried out, including organising the autopsy, which will establish the cause of the woman's death," the police said.
The case is currently being investigated by the local police authorities to "find out possible causes and those responsible for what happened".

One of the theories is that she fell from the boat, but the authorities did not say how many people were on the trip and whether or not they were wearing life vests.
In the videos, the 21-year-old model is seen posing in a bikini while enjoying the sunny afternoon on the boat.
A further clip shows the beautiful Maguari River at sunset as music plays in the background.
The investigation into the model's mysterious death is ongoing.
