The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Denver man Friday as a suspect in a January sexual assault case and are asking any other potential victims to come forward.
Hilton Acker, 32, was taken into custody Friday by Arapahoe County deputies with assistance from the Denver Police Department’s SWAT team and the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force.
According to an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office news release, on Jan. 7, deputies responded to a call from a victim who reported a sexual assault.
The victim told deputies that she was driving on S. Alton Street at about 2:30 a.m. when a man she didn’t know flagged her down, the news release said.
After he gained access to the vehicle, she said the suspect sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.
