House hunters shocked by dirty note spotted in property listing

House hunters have been left shocked and disgusted by an abhorrent sign in the listing of a plush £295,000 property in Spalding, Lincolnshire.

The sign, which has to be seen to be believed was spotted amongst the pictures of the property, reports LadBible.

It simply reads:” Please stop tipping your urine to sink.”

Why such a sign would be needed in a nice eight-bedroom house is unknown however nothing about the house’s four ensuites and three toilets would suggest sink piddling is needed.

There is also no mention of the practice on the house’s official listing which instead focuses on the undoubted charm of the property which admittedly is a steal.

Instead, it reads: “Overlooking the River Welland is this mid 18th-century terraced property situated just a short walk from the town centre.

“The property offers eight bedrooms over four floors including two on the basement floor, three on the first with two ensuites and a bathroom and a further three rooms on the second floor plus two ensuites and a further bathroom whilst the kitchen, dining room and a bathroom occupy the ground floor.”

Confused people quickly flocked to the listing to discuss the peculiar sign on the MoneySavingExpert forum, with one writing: “Not sure I want to know what that sign is about.”

One said: “Not enough toilets, residents using a pee bottle and emptying it in the sink.”

Another said: “Description says ‘eight bedrooms, four ensuites, three bathrooms’ so maybe just dirty habits.”

Amazingly at the time of publishing the listing still carries the sign.

The Daily Star has approached estate agents William H Brown for comment.
