An expert has claimed reconciliation between Prince Harry and King Charles is even more unlikely due to the release of a new book that made serious allegation in a translated edition.
Omid Scobie’s Endgame named the two accused members of the Royal Family who allegedly speculated on the skin colour of Harry and Meghan’s first child due to a reported misprint in the Dutch version. Now, experts say this was the nail in the coffin for King Charles and Harry’s relationship.
The news was released just a few hours before the King addressed a room full of world leaders on climate change. However, royal experts said Charles looked visibly tired and downtrodden during the COP28 summit and his doctor was near him while he walked around.

The two members were named early last week with Piers Morgan adding fuel to the fire when he chose to name the alleged royals on British TV. When the Sussexes made their explosive allegations on Oprah, in an interview broadcast around the world, they set in train a public debate about who in the Royal Family might harbour such racially charged views. In a multicultural modern Britain such allegations against the monarchy generated debate on a matter of such public importance with Scobie's new book claiming to add to that public debate.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams spoke to the Sun and claimed: “This could not have come at a worse moment in Charles’s career. This was a speech he’s waited five decades to make but all everyone is talking about are these baseless claims of racism. Charles and Harry’s relationship was at an all-time low before but this may have fractured it beyond all repair. It could spell the end game for them.”

There was speculation that Harry and Charles could reconcile since the Queen’s death, but experts says this seems unlikely now. Harry even wished his dad a happy 75th birthday last month and sent videos of his children, Archie and Lilibet. While Harry and Meghan have not commented on the names in the book, the explosive claims seem to have caused a further rift between father and son.
Richard continued: “We thought there might be a chance of de-freezing their relationship. No chance now. I can’t see the monarchy ever again trusting Harry.”
