King Charles set to ditch dated Coronation staple as key tradition binned

King Charles is set to ditch a "dated" Coronation staple at his own procession in May, with the key tradition set to be thrown out.

The former Prince of Wales appears adamant on modernising the Royal Family, with a series of changes to regal events now stirring some new protocols for the upcoming Coronation.

Those eagerly awaiting members of the public will find themselves with a different sight entirely, as the King is set to mark a notable change.

Reports from Daily Express indicate the King is set to move away from one particular tradition as he and Queen Consort Camilla believe it is "too dated" for their ceremony.

Such a change will see King Charles' attire markedly different to that of previous Coronation iterations, with the King opting for a more comfortable suit.

Instead of silk stockings and breeches that are traditionally used at the service, King Charles III will likely be dressed up in his military garb instead.

So far, it has been indicated that the King will dress up in his Admiral of the Fleet uniform before taking the throne in an official Coronation this May.

It is not the only change the King hopes to make, with the presence of both Prince William and Prince Harry something that Charles is eager to put together.

Whether it happens or not is yet to be seen, but the eager King of England was reported by Daily Star as having quite the desire to pair the two brothers together at a royal event.

It would mark the first royal event both the Duke of Sussex and Duke of Cambridge have appeared at together since the funeral of Her Majesty last September.

Experts have since weighed in on whether Harry and William would appear at the event together following a slate of bombshell allegations found in the Duke of Sussex's autobiography, Spare.

One expert claimed that an appearance from the pair at the upcoming Coronation would "pave the way for peace" between the warring brothers.
