An Adams County man was arrested in connection with the shooting death of his wife earlier this month, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
The man, who the Adams County Sheriff’s Office did not identify, is being held at the Adams County Detention Facility on a count of first-degree murder and other felony charges.
Deputies responded to a report of a woman with a gunshot wound at a home in the 5400 block of Umatilla Street on the night of Oct. 9. The woman was unresponsive, struck in the head from a bullet, authorities said.
On Monday, the sheriff’s office said the woman died after being on life support for several days.
The sheriff’s office said that deputies took the man into custody after investigating the home.
Neither the man nor woman’s names have been released.
