Meghan and Harry ‘to publish family Christmas snap’ despite quitting as royals

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to honour a family tradition despite having stepped down as working royals.

The couple, who stepped down as senior royals at the start of this year, are set to reveal their annual Christmas photo.

The Sussexes relocated to Santa Barbara in a bid for more independence and to put their health first.

Days after it was revealed they had put pen to paper on a megabucks Spotify podcast deal, an expert has predicted that the Duke and Duchess will still be taking part in the festive tradition.

Omid Scobie, author of their controversial biography, Finding Freedom, said: “There is this forthcoming Christmas card photo.

"I believe it is on its way.”

Speaking on an episode of his royal podcast Heirpod, the expert said it was the season to “indulge” in new Royal pictures.

He said: “We've got them in, we're still waiting for the Sussexes' card, I believe it is on its way, we obviously had a real treat last year with that really cute photo of Archie.”

The Sussexes’ 2019 card featured a sweet snap of baby Archie crawling up to the camera as his adoring parents watch on from behind.

Featured as an e-card, it broke tradition but was praised by many for showing the family in a down-to-earth fashion.

Just last week Prince William and Kate revealed their official 2020 Christmas photo.

The Cambridges shared a touching family portrait featuring kids George, Charlotte and Louis smiling with their parents.

And despite rumours of a rift between the two brothers, William and Harry are said to have grown closer by exchanging festive gifts for their families.

Prince Charles and Camilla published a festive snap of themselves in a charming garden at Birkhall in Aberdeenshire.

The future king was photographed posing in a casual manner with Camilla as they sat on a garden bench.
