Meghan Markle ‘realises speeches risking Harry’s relationship with Royal Family’

Meghan Markle may consider reining in her "woke speeches" after realising it could put Prince Harry's relationship with the Royal Family "at risk," an expert has claimed.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey claimed the Duchess of Sussex’s recent public engagements proved Prince William was “right” to have concerns about Meghan.

Speaking on True Royalty’s The Royal Beat podcast, Mr Lacey said he thinks Meghan has “come to realise” how her speeches are putting her husband’s relationship with the royals at “risk.”

He also said he thinks Meghan may begin to "pedal back" on "more extreme" positions and "come to realise how some of her speeches risk her husband’s relationship with the family".

Mr Lacey said: "Meghan is a self-made woman, she became a star, she became a self-made millionairess."

Referencing claims Prince William sat down with his brother and voiced concerns about the relationship, Mr Lacey said recent "events" have proved him right.

He said: "I think when William sat down with Harry and said there could be problems, I think events have proved him right."

It comes as Meghan faces criticism for "ripping off" Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma for her comments about social media addiction.

The couple were also blasted for urging American citizens to vote in the upcoming US election.

Republican Congressman Jason Smith even demanded the couple be stripped of their titles for the Time 100 speech in which they told the public to "reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity."

Smith also accused them of “interfering in the US election” and told the British government to "put a stop" to it.

Mr Lacey said the recent fall out is likely to have made an impact on Meghan.

He added: "I think that [Meghan] has come to realise how [some of her] speeches risk her husband's relationship with the family and perhaps she may pedal back on some of these more extreme positions."
