Melania Trump, the outgoing FLOTUS, has three months left in her position, as the US prepares to welcome a new circle into the Oval Office next year. President Trump is yet to concede, but some of his closest circle – Melania among them – have allegedly joined in efforts to persuade him otherwise. The former model has spent the last four years as a regular subject to the press, as has her marriage to the commander-in-chief.

Will Melania divorce Donald Trump?

Rumours erupted during Mr Trump’s first term suggesting he and Melania share a terse “business-like” relationship.

Back in 2017, reports alleged the FLOTUS had stayed married to the President for the sake of their son, Barron, who was 11 at the time.

Since then, videos and pictures have surfaced appearing to show the First Lady repeatedly brushing off her husband whenever he moves to hold her hand.

Former associates of the couple have now emerged from the woodwork to suggest an incoming divorce.

Stephanie Wolkoff, who once served as an aid to Mrs Trump, alleged she is already negotiating a post-nuptial agreement.

She said the FLOTUS wanted to secure an equal share of the Trump fortune for her son but did not reveal any imminent news.

Another former aide, this time of the President, suggested she is waiting for her moment to leave.

Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former Apprentice contender and political advisor to Mr Trump, said she is “counting every minute”.

She said: “Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce.

“If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.”

Mrs Trump has fended off accusations she wants to leave Mr Trump since the beginning of her husband’s term.

Mika Brzezinski, a presenter of MSNBC Morning Joe, said she would not “put up with it” much longer back in 2017.

She said she wanted to stay on “for her son” and had the “worst job in the country”.

Ms Brzezinski added: “I haven’t talked to her in months, but if my gut is right, I don’t think she’s going to put up with it much longer,’ Mika said.

“I know nothing. That’s just my instinct and I go with my gut and my gut’s always right.”

Mrs Trump later denied her statement and distanced her self from the presenter.

In a statement of her own to the Daily Mail, she suggested the works came from someone who didn’t know her.

The statement read: “It is sad when people try to further their own agenda by commenting on me and my family, especially when they don’t know me.”

Mr Trump also fought back against her with personal attacks via Twitter.
