A former Miss UK winner has become the richest divorcee in Britain after splitting from her billionaire husband.
Kirsty Bertarelli has confirmed her divorce from her husband of 21 years.
The 50-year-old model and songwriter reportedly split from Ernesto Bertarelli this year with the divorce being agreed in the summer.
The couple, who have three children, were placed 14th on the Sunday Times Rich List 2021 with a fortune of £9.2 billion.
Ernesto is one of the richest men in Switzerland after he inherited his grandfather’s pharmaceutical company, Serono, which he sold for around £6.7 billion back in 2006.
A spokesman for the couple told the Daily Mail: 'It is with sadness that Ernesto and Kirsty Bertarelli confirm that they have divorced.”
He added: “The decision was a shared one and the separation amicable.”
Mrs Berarelli has now been given a £350 million settlement and has been given their spectacular home by Lake Geneva in Switzerland, which was bought this year for £52million.
The huge amount now means Mrs Berarelli is richer than Sir Mick Jagger, Ed Sheeran and Adele.
She was crowned Miss UK in 1988 aged just 17 before finishing runner-up in the Miss World pageant.

Mrs Berarelli had dreams of becoming a popstar and writes and records her own music.
She co-wrote the 2000 hit Black Coffee for band All Saints but did previously have plans on releasing it herself.
Mrs Berarelli previously said: ”Hearing my song on the radio brought mixed emotions. I have to be thankful to All Saints – they could make it No1 – but I knew the emotions behind the song.

"I wanted to sing it because there had been real meaning behind it, which was my love for Ernesto," she added.
The couple's spokesman added: “All issues arising from the divorce have been settled and they would respectfully ask for privacy for their whole family at this time. As this is a private matter, there will be no further comment.”
