From Covid heroes to kindly councillors, and from brave police officers to F1 giants, a whole host of Brits have had their hard work rewarded in the New Year Honours list 2021.

Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton has finally been given a knighthood after securing his seventh world championship.

In music, star of the '90s UK garage scene turned music producer and DJ Craig David is recognised with an MBE.

And veteran footballers Jimmy Greaves and Ron Flowers are also made MBEs after a long-running campaign to ensure every surviving member of England's 1966 World Cup-winning squad gets an honour.
