A man who allegedly pointed a gun at Thornton police, drawing fire from officers, and who then disappeared into a neighborhood has been identified.
Police on Saturday said that they are looking for 36-year-old Raymond Michael James Quintana.
Quintana is suspected of fleeing officers Friday morning, pointing a gun at police and stealing a Jeep that was later found. A shelter-in-place order was posted for area residents during the incident and several area schools were placed on heightened security.
Quintana is wanted on warrants for first-degree assault, felony menacing, burglary and motor vehicle theft, police said. Investigators believe he is still in the Denver area.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 720-977-5069.
