Prince Harrys exact word which blew his chances of ending feud with William

Prince Harry ruined his chances of patching up tensions with big brother Prince William with just one word, a royal commentator says.

In a bid to remove themselves from daily chores and expectations of the Royal Family, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, flew to the US in January 2020 and friction between the Firm and Sussexes has only got worse.

Expert Daniela Elser claims that Harry's attempts to reveal his version of events through his autobiography, 'Spare', have landed him in hot water with William.

The 'keyword' in question features in a piece scribed in the New Yorker about helping celebrities tell their stories, by his ghostwriter, J. R. Moehringer.

Mr Moehringer said: "He mentioned my advice, to 'trust the book,' and said he was glad that he did because it felt incredible to have the truth out there, to feel – his voice caught – 'free'. There were tears in his eyes. Mine, too."

Elser claims that the use of the word 'free' is symbolic of the California-based Prince's apparent attempts to burst out of the constraints of life with the Royal Family.

William supposedly took particular issue with being portrayed as aggressive and jealous during an incident that occurred at Sandringham Summit.

Elser said: "In pursuit of that single word – 'free' – Harry has paid, whether he quite realises it or not, an extraordinarily high personal price. Perhaps the most obvious loss is of his brother Prince William."

She also referred to Harry indirectly suggesting William's aids may have leaked stories to the press.

The royal commentator concluded: "This was hardly likely to improve the channels of communication between Kensington Palace and Sussex base camp, but really, none of this was smoking gun territory.

"Reconciliation still seemed a viable possibility if just one of the proud men had the courage to WhatsApp the other."
