Sex robots ‘smile and wink’ with incredible human-like AI heads

A sex doll company has created groundbreaking new models with “ AI heads” that can smile and wink, the Daily Star can reveal.

British manufacturer LoveDolls, situated inside the world’s biggest sex doll factory in the city of Zhongshan, China, has been busy adding features to its products this year – which are becoming “more robotic”.

Staff have been working on a range of adaptations to match customers’ demands since the introduction of coronaviruslockdowns across the world, including “fantasy alien dolls”.

They have also developed more innovative features, with the AI improving “every year”.

Company spokesman Adam told the Daily Star: “This year we’ve invented some new features which are kind of becoming more robotic.

“So last year the most robotic feature we had was a heated body where you could heat a whole body to 37C.

“Now this year, about two months ago, my company brought out a breathing feature which means that the doll’s chest goes up and down like it’s breathing and you can feel the air coming in and out of the nose.”

Purchasing the heated body or breathing features will set customers back an additional $250 (£187) apiece.

They are also offering dolls with AI heads that “respond to many questions and make sexual noises and/or facial expressions like smiles and winks”.

Adam explained: “Their foreheads, temples and cheeks are moving just like real humans. These heads cost $1,500 (£1,115) each.

“Various types of AI heads are available. The most popular addition is a $70 (£52) small speaker implanted in the head which just makes moaning noises.

“This can either be voice-activated, or we can implant touch sensors in the chest. This feature also has 20 phrases to set questions you can ask it.

“The other AI heads we offer are $3,000 (£2,230) each, and respond to a very wide range of questions. They will also say sexual or complimentary statements.

“Currently the AI technology is only at a stage where the doll will only say specific responses when asked specific questions, and will mention specific questions it has been programmed to do. In the future this will definitely improve, and is getting better every year.”

The average price of a doll sold by the company is $1,800 (£1,361).

Last month, LoveDolls revealed that customers were asking for “monster” features, including tails and vampire teeth.

The company was receiving such requests once or twice a week.

Customers have also demanded strange eye colours, hooves, and red and blue skin.

Adam believes the uptick has occurred because more people are stuck at home playing computer games, with Covid restrictions in place across the world.

He said: “I have come to this conclusion from not just the sales, but all the email requests.

“Before lockdown the majority of email requests were asking for dolls that looked like specific porn stars or movie stars.

“However, nowadays the vast majority of requests are for fantasy characters from computer games or movies.

“They almost always have a sexy human body, but with a pretty face and alien features such as elf heads, colourful skin, horns, crazy eye colours and vampire teeth.”
