Teen boy killed Thursday night in northeast Denver

A teenage boy died Friday following an incident overnight in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood, Denver police said.

The boy may have been shot, according to the police. Another man injured in the incident remains in the hospital after he may have been stabbed.

The first report of the incident occurred early Friday morning on 15255 E. 40th Ave. in northeast Denver. The address is near the interchange of Chambers Road and Interstate 70.

Police continue to investigate the event. Officials have not said if there have been any arrests or if they have a suspect.

The boy’s name has not been released.

Police have not said if the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
