Teen dubbed Kitty of Crackland busted after cops find drugs hidden in knickers

A teenage girl dubbed the "Kitty of Crackland" has been arrested after cops found cannabis hidden in her bra and cocaine in her underwear.

The 19-year-old was arrested after she allegedly sold the drugs from a tent in the heart of the financial city of Sao Paulo, in the Southwest Region of Brazil.

A police spokesman said: “During a personal search by a woman police officer, she located in the teenager's bra six small amounts of a marijuana-like drug-like substance and in her panties, she further found six more small portions of a cocaine-like drug-like substance and 15 small stones of what appeared to be crack cocaine.”

According to the officers, she confessed at the time of her arrest that she also had more narcotics hidden at a hotel called Hotel Avare.

Police later raided it and arrested the manager after they found a backpack with 85 bags of marijuana, 295 bags of cocaine and eight of crack. 97 bottles of perfume launchers and 16 ecstasy pills were also located, in addition to R$750 (£110) in cash.

The suspect, named Lorraine Cutier Bauer Romeiro, is reportedly known as the "Gatinha da Cracolandia" (the 'Kitty of Crackland' in Portuguese).

"Cracoloandia" is a slang term for an area of Sao Paulo that is so riddled with drugs it has earned the sobriquet 'crack land'.

Her boyfriend, who has not been named, was also arrested for drug trafficking.

This is not the first 'kitty' involved in a recent drug bust in Brazil. Notorious female gang member ‘Hello Kitty’ was shot dead in a gunfight with Brazilian cops last week.

Rayane Nazareth Cardozo da Silveira, 20, dubbed ‘Hello Kitty’, was considered one of the most wanted criminals in Rio de Janeiro when she was shot in the head on the morning of July 16.
