Two men in their 20s who were rescued from the water in a UK seaside town have sadly passed away, according to police.
Officers were called to assist the Coastguard at around 9am on Saturday following reports of concern for two people in the water at Oddicombe in Torbay, Devon.
Following an emergency rescue operation, the two men were pulled from the water and one was declared dead at the scene, while the second man died after being taken to Torbay District Hospital.

Their next of kin have been informed, and inquiries continue while a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The operation involved the Coastguard Rescue Team from Torbay and the RNLI's inshore lifeboat from Teignmouth & Dawlish.
The Devon Air Ambulance was despatched, and Devon and Cornwall Police and the South Western Ambulance Service were also involved.
An eyewitness also said she saw the Coastguard "circling overhead", as well as hearing sirens near the beach.

It comes after dive expert Peter Faulding said on the James English podcast last week: “Summer time is like a conveyor belt of death for us, it’s not nice.”
Peter Faulding, who heads private diving team Specialist Group International, was involved in the early searches for the mum who went missing in St Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire, back in January.
