Wife, 37, of millionaire boss, 65, dies suddenly during luxury Menorca holiday

A British millionaire's wife has died suddenly on holiday in Menorca where the couple owns a luxury villa.

The tragic death of Elsie Mogford, 37, brings yet more heartbreak for water company chief Steve Mogford, 65, who lost his first wife to cancer.

The mum-of-two was taken to hospital on Tuesday where medics' desperate attempts to save her life were not enough.

A bereaved family member said it remains unknown what caused the mother's death, MailOnline reports.

The Mogfords tied the knot two years ago in what was a second marriage for both of them, three years after Steve's first wife Barbara, 61, died from breast cancer.

A relative said of the news: "I'm in a state of shock. I don't know many details apart from she was on holiday in Menorca and she died on Tuesday morning.

"They have a villa over there and all I know is that they called an ambulance.

"She has two boys and it's so sad for them. She was a very good horse rider and a lovely person. I got on well with her."
