The “world’s sexiest scientist” has taken a death-defying dip with some massive sharks.

Rosie Moore has got into the water to get up close and personal with some serious apex predators. In incredible footage, the geoscientist gets into the water with some pals and some whopping killers for a swim that seems as relaxed and normal as a splash in the holiday park pool.

Rosie has risen to fame on Instagram through her incredible adventures in the wild. Now she has taken that to new heights, heading out into the deep blue with three other women to swim with the giant fish.

She reposted a short series of clips to her Instagram story showing the group from above, the camera looking down from closer to the surface below into the depths. From here it shows the women swimming right next to the massive sharks.

In one piece of footage the three women all stare at what is understood to be a massive tiger shark. The footage was reposted by Rosie from an account called anahernandezsarria, real name Ana Hernández Sarriá, who is believed to have been one of the divers on the excursion.

All wearing flippers, one of the women aims a camera at the beast – but despite the danger, Ana adds the brilliant caption: “Just girls doing girl’s stuff.”

In another post from Ana, who the Daily Star understands to be a writer and novelist, a massive shark swims in between two of the divers as the one closer to the seabed dips and spins upwards in a slick manoeuvre to keep the shark inside her field of vision. The footage, with the caption “La peligrosa”, has received over 2,500 likes at the time of writing.

“Dangerously beautiful,” one person commented on the footage.

“Why would you put yourself like that in harm's way????? Omg!” another added.

Ana’s most recent book, Between Blues, is a novel set in the Maldives.
