A Sussex town has suffered \u201csignificant damage\u201d after being battered by a tornado this weekend.<\/p>\n
Saturday’s tornado, the second to hit Littlehampton in six weeks, was measured as being a T4 – which SussexLive reports means it is classed as \u201csevere\u201d.<\/p>\n
Phone lines were reported to have fallen onto a property and garden furniture and a window were damaged by high winds, according to Sussex Police.<\/p>\n
No one is believed to have been injured in the incident with damage to homes and cars also reported.<\/p>\n
The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (Torro) said researchers had been sent to the scene and a full report would be published in due course.<\/p>\n
