Nigel Farage gave his first reaction to Dominic Cummings\u2019 evidence at the Covid inquiry today, accusing the former top advisor of playing a blame game.<\/p>\n

Mr Farage described Mr Cummings as \u201cscruffy, vindictive and vitriolic – but that\u2019s Dominic Cummings\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mr Cummings gave multiple hours-worth of evidence to the official Covid inquiry in London this afternoon, speaking after a similarly lengthy evidence session with Boris Johnson\u2019s former communications chief Lee Cain.<\/p>\n

The GB News host said the day had been \u201cpretty astonishing\u201d, and presented Boris Johnson as a flip-flopper on key issues.<\/p>\n

He described Mr Cummings\u2019 evidence as demonstrating a mindset that \u201cthe whole world are morons apart from him\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mr Farage said Lee Cain had been \u201cpoliter\u201d about their former boss, but even he had said \u201cthe Prime Minister used to oscillate\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne minute he was pursuing the Jaws strategy – \u2018keep the beaches open\u2019 – the next minute it was \u2018keep the beaches shut\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Boris Johnson set to join GB News as its new star presenter, Mr Farage said the inquiry had provided a new glimpse of the former Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I get from all of this is that\u2026 every instinct in Boris is saying \u2018let\u2019s do what the Swedes are doing, let\u2019s not lockdown\u2019.<\/p>\n
