    Benidorm legend Sticky Vicky has died at age 80 after a long illness. <\/p>\n

    Tributes have begun pouring in for the iconic performer, real name Victoria Mar\u00eda Arag\u00fc\u00e9s Gadea. Her daughter has been among those paying their respects. In a post on Facebook, she said: "I regret these words, my mother Sticky Vicky passed away today at 6 in the morning, I can't believe it.<\/p>\n

    "She has gone, surrounded by her family, with all of our love. I thank God for being able to always be by her side, I am left with a broken heart."<\/p>\n

    Born in Tenerife in 1943 she became an internationally adored figurehead for the legendary tourist destination in Spain. <\/p>\n

    The unorthodox Sticky Vicky show has left countless revellers with their jaws on the floor, with her famed antics with razor blades and ping pong balls spreading around Europe. <\/p>\n

    Countless Brits have been to see her shows, including Owain Laing who exclusively told the Daily Star about his trip to see her back in April. He said: "My girlfriend is quite posh and we have been to the Maldives and stuff and I was like \u2018let\u2019s go Benidorm\u2019 and she was like \u2018eh OK\u2019. She said she wanted the full Benidorm experience and I asked whether she was sure… <\/p>\n

    \u201cSo I brought her to a pub where Sticky Vicky was on and we sat there like \u2018holy s**t, what the f*** is this\u2019? It\u2019s an eye opener and a life changing experience that everyone doesn\u2019t need to see. Everyone needs to see it but they don\u2019t need to see it at the same time.<\/p>\n

    \u201cThe capacity was probably a hundred and it was rammed from little chavy kids to old posh people with yachts, everyone was there. You just look round at people\u2019s faces and everyone has a cartoon face like all mouth and jaw and they are thinking \u2018what is this\u2019…<\/p>\n

    \u201cBut you know what you are getting yourself in for and you know what it is all about and you have to see it with your own eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n
