The Christmas works do is the peak time for "cringe moments" \u2013 and gives millions sleepless nights.<\/p>\n
One in four of us lies awake worrying over what we did \u2013 or fear we\u2019re about to do \u2013 at the annual office bash. Pub chiefs say work-from-home has sparked a surge in parties as lonely staff flock to be reunited with colleagues.<\/p>\n
Bookings are the highest since 2019 after the past three years were wrecked by strikes and lockdowns. <\/p>\n

Clive Watson, boss of bar chain City Pub Group, said: "With people working from home more, they want to engage with their office crew." <\/p>\n

But research found nearly three quarters of workers believe office parties are a "hotspot" for embarrassing gaffes. They include snogging a colleague, \u00adinsulting the boss, and throwing up. <\/p>\n
The study by hotel chain Premier Inn found 40% of Brits lost sleep for the rest of the year over Xmas do mishaps. And almost half admit having flashbacks to cringe moments from previous events.<\/p>\n
This comes after it emerged frisky Brits are getting steamy between the sheets more often to reduce their heating bills. Six in 10 have joined a dating app to find a snuggle buddy for the colder months instead of whacking the radiators on.<\/p>\n

Winter also makes men more frisky than in summer, a Bensons for Beds poll revealed. And 53% of 18 to 44-year-olds plan to have more nookie to keep shivers at bay, with four in 10 saying snow outside is an aphrodisiac.<\/p>\n
However, one in 10 would rather cosy up to their pet than their partner this winter. Actor Tom Hardy was the top choice for women when asked which celeb they would have as their winter snuggle buddy, while men opted for Barbie star Margot Robbie.<\/p>\n
