An Aurora man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for second-degree murder after he provided a handgun used to kill a man outside of Coors Field in August 2021.
Treneil McNeal was found guilty of second-degree murder Sept. 1 following a jury trial, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
He was accused of giving a handgun to Javon Price, who allegedly used it to shoot Gregory Hopkins, 41, after they got into an argument near 22nd and Wazee streets on Aug. 6, 2021. Hopkins was a concessions worker at the stadium.
Price is charged with first-degree murder and is scheduled to go to trial in February.
